Job Description:

We are looking to hire professional Cooks to be a part of Chancho Tortilleria’s team at 560 Davie Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 2G4. Successful candidates must have prior experience working in a fast-paced environment and prior knowledge of Mexican cuisine is beneficial; we truly enjoy sharing our passion for food, cooking, and exceptional service. Key duties and responsibilities will include:

·         Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

·         Portion and present the food

·         Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

·         Assist with scheduling and supervising kitchen helpers

·         Prepare food for service

·         Stock, monitor and maintain food inventory and supplies appropriately

·         Maintain a clean work area and the kitchen in general

·         Participate in hiring and training new kitchen helpers

Job requirements:

·         High school diploma;

·         Prior experience as a Cook for 1 year at least;

·         Ambitious, proactive nature and positive attitude;

·         Sufficient English language communication skills;

·         Food Safety Certificate;

·         Strong team worker, great interpersonal skills, and proven communication skills.
