Everest Hakka House offers a wide range of authentic Indo-Chinese dishes from traditional Hakka cuisine to suit our diverse clientele, including pakora, noodles, and a variety of spicy meat dishes.

Job Summary: The Cook (Indo-Chinese Cuisine) is responsible for preparing, producing, and cooking Indo-Chinese Hakka cuisine dishes in a fast-paced working environment using authentic and traditional ingredients and techniques. The right candidate will provide hands-on culinary skill to deliver high quality food and service to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook authentic Indo-Chinese fusion (Hakka) cuisine dishes as instructed by chef;
· Work with ingredients such as meats, vegetables, and rice and use specialty cooking equipment;
· Adapt dishes for customers with specialty diets, allergies, and intolerances;
· Ensure consistent and high-quality food preparation and presentation according to restaurant standards;
· Participate in planning new menus and creating new recipes;
· Regularly track and check restaurant inventory to ensure that food and kitchen supplies are adequately stocked;
· Place orders with vendors for ingredients and supplies when necessary;
· Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed during the cooking process and that all food products are safely stored;
· Ensure kitchen and storage areas are maintained and cleaned according to health and safety standards; and
· Other duties as required.

Minimum Skills Requirements:
· Completion of secondary school is required;
· At least three (3) years of prior work experience as a cook is required;
· Knowledge of and experiencing in preparing and cooking Indo-Chinese (Hakka) cuisine is required;
· Fluency in verbal English is required;
· Must be dependable, reliable and have effective interpersonal skills.
