Duties:

• Bagel and Pita
  • Have knowledge of all bagel and pita products-flavours, packaging and size
  • Place trays around bagel slicer and loading conveyors.
  • Reject any bagels or pitas that do not meet company quality standards
  • Report any bagel or pitas quality issues to the Bagel or Pita Line Team Leader.
  • Keep packaging machine running at all times.
  • Maintain clean equipment and area.
  • Operate the packaging machine with basic trouble shooting tips.
  • Install proper bags in the packaging machine according to the products and production schedule.
• Tortilla
  • Have knowledge of tortilla sizes, flavours and packaging.
  • Have knowledge of all bags for retail and foodservice. Ensure product is placed in proper bags
  • Adjust sealer to accommodate different sizes when a change over occurs.
  • Adjust belt to accommodate different number of loaves per bag to eliminate air in bag.
  • Ensure all product passes through the metal detector, setting aside any rejected product for the Quality Department.
  • Maintain a neat work space.
• Boxing
  • Prepare exact quantities of boxes for the day
  • Pack products in correct boxes
  • Ensure boxes are coded properly
  • Palletise and shrink wrap product
  • Store products in freezer
  • Meet hourly boxing quotas
  • Clean up boxing room daily before leaving
