Heritage Gas is headquartered in Nova Scotia and is committed to designing, building, and operating a safe and reliable natural gas distribution system for its customers. Wholly owned by TriSummit Utilities Inc., Heritage Gas has seen significant growth since its inception in 2003.  Today, its customers are at the heart of the provincial economy; they include the largest hospitals and universities in the province, and many of the provinces largest industries. Heritage Gas is continuing to expand its natural gas network, as well as pursuing new opportunities to provide low carbon energy alternatives.  To support them in their expansion, they are seeking a Vice President, Finance to join their team.

Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President, Finance will provide strategic leadership with regard to financial and business services for Heritage Gas. As part of the Senior Management Team, the Vice President has overall financial stewardship for the organization and recommends, and implements, critical short and longer-term strategies, policies, safeguards, and targets to facilitate positive company growth and to ensure the prudent allocation of resources.

The Vice President leads the development of financial strategies, policies, and budgets in cooperation with functional executives on behalf of Heritage Gas.               They are responsible for all financial reporting, general accounting, internal accounting controls, accounting systems and procedures, protection of corporate assets and forecasting and budgeting, as well as supervision of all general accounting staff. The Vice President is a key participant in regulatory proceedings with the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board.  The Vice President plays a pivotal role in communicating the financial position of the Company to the Board of Directors of Heritage Gas and its parent company – TriSummit Utilities.

You bring the technical competencies of a seasoned financial leader along with the business acumen that allows you to add value across the entire enterprise.
