Japanese (sushi) cooks

JL Sushi & Kitchen is located at 140 Lonsdale Ave., North Vancouver, BC V7M 2E8. We are currently looking for permanent, full time Japanese (sushi) cooks. If you are interested, please submit your resume by mail or e-mail.

 

Position: Cook

Wage: CAD$18.00/hour

Types: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week

Benefits:  4% of vacation pay, Free meals at work & tips

 

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook Japanese sushi food items including Sashimi, Sushi, Maki, Roll, and other Japanese dishes on the menu;
• Maintain inventory and records of food;
• Train sushi bar staff;
• Oversee sushi bar operations.

 

Job Requirements:

• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience
• Completion of secondary school
