Private Home Child Care for a 10-month-old child

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and care for a 10 mos. old child in the employer’s residence
• Bathe, dress, feed and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Instruct the child with personal hygiene and social development
• Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents
• Oversee or organize child’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
• Plan, prepare, serve meals and may perform other housekeeping duties
• Tend to emotional well-being of the child
• Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Permanent, Full time

EDUCATION: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or completion of Training Program in Child care or a related field

PERSONAL SUITABILITY : Reliability, Initiative, Flexibility, Dependability, Organization, Judgement, Ability to multi-task, Demonstrate ability to perform work is required

EXPERIENCE : Child care or household management exp.

TRANSPORTATION : Transportation is available

CREDENTIAL : First Aid & CPR Certificates is an asset

WORK SETTING : Optional accommodation available at NO charge to the caregiver  (NOTE: This is NOT a condition of employment)

Working hours:  9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

(Working hours of the caregiver can be arranged according

to the working hours of the mother)

Hours:  30-40 Hours / Week

Job Start date: As soon as possible

Salary: $ 15.00 / hr.

Work Location: 368 Howland Avenue, Toronto
