Job Description:

We are looking to hire professional Kitchen Managers to be a part of Nuba’s team. Successful candidates must have prior experience working in a fast-paced environment. Prior knowledge of Middle Eastern cuisine is beneficial. We encourage all those looking to develop and be a part of a responsible and professional culinary environment to apply.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for food preparation and cooking;
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen personnel;
  • Maintain Nuba guest service standards including friendly guest service, timeliness of service, quality of food, portion sizes, and cleanliness of the kitchen area;
  • Supervise and prepare order summaries according to brand standards and custom orders;
  • Develop new and improve existing methods to meet work schedules, schedule the activities of the kitchen personnel;
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage;
  • Effectively coordinate, manage, facilitate and assist in training staff, including training in job duties, sanitation and safety practices;
  • Implement all Nuba Guest experience initiatives in the restaurant;
  • Maintain and enforce food safety standards, procedures, and processes;
  • Assist in the budget development of specific products costing and pricing menu items.

Job requirements:

  • High school diploma;
  • Several years of work experience in food preparation or service;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage staff;
  • Strong ability to work under pressure in a high-intensity work environment;
  • Ambitious, proactive nature and positive attitude;
  • Sufficient English language communication skill, great interpersonal skills (both verbal and written);
  • Strong team worker;
  • Client-oriented approach;
  • Food safety Certificate;
  • Supervisory experience is a plus;
  • Previous experience in Lebanese/Middle Eastern cooking is an asset.
