If you have ambition, talent and motivation, consider a promising career at Canada Post. We are currently looking for a part-time Post Office Assistant who will take a customer-centric approach when providing over the counter customer service.

Note: The ideal candidate should live in the community in question. Applications from people who do not live in the post office community may be considered if necessary.

Professional responsibilities

• sell postal products and services to businesses and the general public;

• sort, distribute and process mail correctly;

• provide clients with information and forms;

• deal with delivery and service difficulties to resolve issues quickly and completely.

Eligibility criteria

• Education and / or experience related to interacting with the public in the retail and / or service environment, inter alia, sales and cash transactions

• Understanding of regular accounting systems or post offices

• Sufficient physical fitness to lift mail containers weighing up to 50 lbs, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for long periods of time

Note: The ideal candidate should live in the community in question. Applicants who live within a radius of 50 km from the post office may be considered depending on the request.

As part of the selection process the successful candidates will be required to complete a security screening process
