It is within this context that SickKids Foundation welcomes applications for the role Intern, Integrated Brand Marketing.




Temporary Full-time Contract (4 months)
The term ‘intern’ refers to an employee who has recently graduated (or will graduate by the start of the role) who is seeking an opportunity to gain insight into a particular field. Recent graduates are considered individuals who have graduated from an accredited university or college within the last
36 months.



AVAILABLE: Beginning of January – end of April.



The Integrated Brand Marketing Intern will be an active participant in a fast-paced, full-service marketing and communications team. The SickKids Foundation Brand team works on projects that support the fundraising initiatives of The Hospital for Sick Children and drive brand awareness for SickKids Foundation, and this intern will play a key role in helping us deliver even more outstanding work.



The intern will help manage projects, working with our internal creative services team on briefs and creative development, ensuring all marketing materials are completed in a timely manner. They will also gain experience of working with teams across the organization, supporting on projects for the Direct and Digital Marketing, Gift and Estate Planning, and Corporate and Community Partnerships teams. This position reports to the Manager, Marketing.



Required SkillsYOU WILL:

Assist and collaborate with the Creative, Content and Public Relations teams on internal development and delivery of projects;
Liaise with external suppliers on certain projects;
Participate in regular team meetings;
Proofread materials at all stages of projects;
Contribute to writing briefs for creative assets;
Work on the creative development process from brief, through creative development, to delivery;
Support the creation of presentations and internal reports;
Remain current with marketing trends and other areas affecting fundraising client partners’ business;
Various other duties as assigned.

Qualified for the position under the criteria of either working towards or having obtained a university degree or college diploma with a program focus in Marketing.
Microsoft Office experience, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
Photography as well as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop an asset;
Works well under pressure and meets deadlines;
Is logical, work-oriented and analytical; a critical thinker
Discretion, tact, diplomacy and attention to detail are essential;
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment;
Excellent time management and organizational skills;
A team player.

SALARY RANGE: $15.00-$18.00/hour

HOURS: 35 Hours – work week, flexible work arrangements are available
